TERMS OF USE

Welcome to RIFTLINE, a mobile game developed and operated by ThatByte Žiga Povhe s.p. ("ThatByte", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Trebnje, Slovenia.

By downloading, installing, or using RIFTLINE ("the Game"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Game.

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Game is not directed at children under 16. By using the Game, you represent that you are at least 16 years of age, or that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the Game.

2. LICENSE

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Game for your personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes, subject to these Terms.

You do not own the Game. All rights, title, and interest in and to the Game — including all content, features, visual designs, code, and game data — remain the exclusive property of ThatByte.

3. ACCOUNTS

The Game creates an anonymous account automatically. You may optionally link a Google or Apple account to save your progress across devices.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your linked account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account section within the Game's settings.

4. IN-APP PURCHASES

4.1 Virtual Items

The Game offers optional in-app purchases including cosmetic items, virtual currencies (Shards and Gems), battle passes, subscriptions, and ad removal. All purchases are cosmetic only and do not provide gameplay advantages.

4.2 Subscriptions

The Game offers auto-renewable subscriptions (Premium Battle Pass, Elite Battle Pass, VIP). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

You can manage or cancel your subscriptions through your device's store settings:

4.3 Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. Refund requests must be directed to the respective store. We do not process refunds directly.

4.4 No Real-World Value

Virtual items and currencies have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for real money or any other consideration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Game at any time if you violate these Terms, without prior notice or liability.

6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content in the Game — including but not limited to graphics, animations, music, sound effects, text, game mechanics, UI design, and trademarks — is owned by or licensed to ThatByte and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works based on any part of the Game without our prior written consent.

7. ADVERTISEMENTS

The Game displays advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (Google AdMob). Some ads may be personalized based on your data, subject to your consent. You may purchase ad removal as an in-app purchase.

8. AVAILABILITY AND UPDATES

We may update, modify, or discontinue the Game (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that the Game will be available at all times or that it will be free from errors or interruptions.

Seasonal content, including battle pass rewards and limited-time events, may expire and become unavailable after their designated period.

9. PRIVACY

Your use of the Game is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The Game is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ThatByte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual items, or loss of profits, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Game.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Game shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

12. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Slovenia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Slovenia.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, you also retain any mandatory rights provided by the consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For significant changes, we will provide notice within the Game.
